Chicago has elected its first black woman mayor, Lori Lightfoot, an openly gay political novice who is promising reform in a city beset with crime and budget problems. Mike O’Sullivan reports, Lightfoot won with a massive lead of nearly 50 percentage points over longtime politician Toni Preckwinkle.
