Children's Citizenship Ceremony!

Minnesota Children's Museum: Children's Citizenship Ceremony!

Today we welcomed 23 new Americans at a Children's Citizenship Ceremony!

The ceremony recognized children who have obtained citizenship through their parents. Some were adopted by U.S. citizen parents while others derived citizenship when their immigrant parents naturalized as U.S. citizens.

The children and youths range in age from 4 to 14 years old, and are originally from the following 12 countries: Cameroon, Canada, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Kenya, Republic of Korea, Somalia, South Africa, Thailand, Uganda and Vietnam.

The Honorable David T. Schultz from the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota presided.

Welcome new Americans!
