When Immigration Comes Knocking, Looking for Illegal Immigrants

VOANews: When Immigration Comes Knocking, Looking for Illegal Immigrants

The Obama administration recently began a surge of raids to deport illegal immigrants. The surge was focused on Central American migrants who had stayed beyond their deportation orders. The enforcement actions left many undocumented people fearful of leaving their homes. VOA’s Carolyn Presutti got exclusive access to six undocumented adults just hours after their home was raided. Names and faces have been concealed due to the sensitivity of the subject. Originally published at -http://www.voanews.com/media/video/immigration-enforcement-illegal-immigrants/3158892.html

VOANews: Supreme Court to Review Obama's Immigration Plan

The U.S. Supreme Court decided Tuesday it would hear a case challenging President Barack Obama's plan to defer the deportation of more than 4 million undocumented immigrants and allow them to work legally in the United States. Obama's executive order is aimed at stopping the deportation of parents of American-born children and permanent residents. As VOA's Carolyn Presutti reports, the court's decision on this case will have far-reaching effects.
