Here is a detailed account how Mr and Mrs Nakrani (formerly of Gujarat, India) prepared for their Citizenship Interview.
As you can see, Mr. Nakrani, who wrote the account, can communicate in English quite well and he daily coached Mrs Nakrani in English and Civics.
